Eugene Holley Jr. contributes to Publishers Weekly, DownBeat, and Hot House Jazz Guide. He wrote a profile of Wynton Marsalis for Humanities in 2016. He also profiled the late writer and Zora Neale Hurston biographer, Valerie Boyd, in the Summer 2022 edition of Humanities.
