Jenny Lawton

Jenny Lawton is a Program Officer in the Division of Public Programs. She holds a BA in American studies from Kenyon College. Jenny spent more than two decades in public radio, developing, leading, and editing more than a dozen acclaimed cross-platform media initiatives showcasing humanities scholarship—among them: La Brega (2023), More Perfect (2017, 2023), Blindspot (2020-2021), The Anthropocene Reviewed (2018-19), and Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen (2007-2016). Her work has been honored by the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards, the NAACP, the New York Press Club, and the Third Coast International Audio Festival. Lawton has also taught audio production at New York University and elsewhere.
