Biography

Geoff Burrows is a senior program officer in the Division of Research Programs, where he works with Fellowship Programs at Independent Research Institutions. A historian of Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States, his publications include The Puerto Rico Reconstruction Administration: New Deal Public Works, Modernization, and Colonial Reform (University of Florida Press, 2024). He received a PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center and has taught at Seton Hall University, Queens College, Hunter College, and the College of Staten Island.
