Biography
Emily Brantley received her M.Ed. in higher education administration from the University of Florida and her B.A. in anthropology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Originally from the D.C. area, Emily has worked for the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, and most recently, for the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. At Florida, she supported academic and student affairs, and managed the college’s awards and scholarships processes. Emily’s personal interests include 18th- and 19th-century living history, historical fashion and sewing, family history research, and Irish dance, music, and culture.
