Biography
Amy Trotter is a Program Analyst in the Division of Research supporting three distinct programs: Collaborative Research, Scholarly Editions and Translations, and Archaeological and Ethnographic Fieldwork. Before joining the NEH in 2021, she served as a grant manager for the Presenting and Multidisciplinary Works program at the National Endowment for the Arts and held editorial roles as poetry editor for several literary magazines. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing with a certification in Arts Management from American University and holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Alabama. Her personal interests include contemporary poetry, French linguistics and philosophy, and fiber arts; she is also passionate about disability advocacy, actively working to raise awareness and promote accessibility in both professional and creative spaces.
