Purdue University appointments, honors and activities
Michael Jacovides, professor of philosophy, has been selected a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship recipient. The grants are given to scholars who distinguish themselves through outstanding research, writing, and investigation. The fellowship comes with a $60,000 award to support Jacovides' project, “Springs and Principles of the Universe: David Hume on Laws and Causes,” which will consist of research and writing leading to a book on the development of philosopher David Hume’s theories of laws and causation.
