Pueblo Library District grant to go towards preserving special collection
The Pueblo City-County Library District was recently awarded a $500,000 matching grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The money will got towards improving preservation and access to the Special Collections Dept. at the Robert Hoag Rawlings Public Library.
Included in the collection are artifacts like Kit Carson's will, the 1868 first edition of the Pueblo Chieftan, and more than 10,000 historic photographs of Pueblo and the southern Colorado region.
