The public is invited to attend the launch for Ivan Propst’s new book on Thursday, April 11, from 5pm to 7pm at the American Memorial Park Visitor’s Center Theater. Propst’s new book is titled Perseverance and Grit: The Contributions of Agnes Manglona McPhetres to Education Across the Pacific.
There will be a brief presentation by Propst with questions and answers to follow as well as the book signing by Agnes McPhetres and Propst. McPhetres, the current chief executive officer of the Northern Marianas Technical Institute, is a former president of the Northern Marianas College.
Publication of the book was made possible by support from the Northern Marianas Humanities Council, a nonprofit, private corporation funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
