Art Walk in western Kenosha County

Historical reproductions of American art will be on display among the stack of books at the Community Library, 24615 89th St., Salem Lakes, this month.

“Picturing America,” an initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities, is a collection of 40 selected works of art spanning several centuries — all by American painters, sculptors, photographers and architects — that helps teach American history and provides a gateway to the broader world of the humanities.

The Community Library acquired this artwork through a grant. Lesson plans and resources to complement the art walk are available on the library website.
